Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.

Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives и (вярваме, защото още не сме ги гледали) The Zone of Interest и Maestro.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Drama
    и
Best Performance by an Actor, Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television

    2. The distinction between the categories „Best Actor in a Television Series, Drama“ and „Best Actor in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television“ at the Golden Globes reflects the evolving landscape of television programming and the need to recognize different forms of storytelling.

Best Actor in a Television Series, Drama: This category is for actors who play a role in a drama series. Drama series are typically ongoing, with multiple seasons and a continuous storyline. The focus here is on the actor’s ability to portray a character over a longer period, often evolving and growing with the storyline.

Best Actor or Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television: Introduced in 1982, this category was created to acknowledge performances in formats that didn’t fit the traditional mold of ongoing television series.

Limited Series: These are shows with a limited run, often with a single season telling a complete story.

Anthology Series: These series feature a different story and often a different set of characters each season (or episode), like „American Horror Story“ or „Black Mirror“.

Motion Picture Made for Television: This refers to what are commonly known as TV movies – standalone movies produced for television rather than theatrical release.

The creation of the second category in 1982 likely stemmed from the increasing popularity and production quality of limited series, anthology series, and TV movies. As these formats became more prominent and distinct from traditional TV series, there was a need to recognize the unique challenges and performances in these formats separately. Limited series and TV movies often attract big names from the film industry and are sometimes produced with higher budgets and production values, similar to theatrical releases, but are structured differently from ongoing TV series. This structural difference impacts the storytelling approach and the actors’ performances, necessitating a separate category for recognition.

  2. Аз съм доста впечатлен да видя Past Lives и The Zone of Interest номинирани за Best Picture.
Имам високи очаквания за Anatomy of a Fall и The Zone of Ineterest – особено втория, който очаквам с антропологичен интерес.

Christian Friedel (от The Zone of Interest), който пее рядко добре, е the go-to-actor of Robert Wilson в Германия. В театъра в Дюселдорф през 2017 направиха Der Sandmann – което е едно от най-сполучилите неща, които съм гледал over a number of years …
